Explorer Firefighter
Young Men and Women ages 14 and 15 with an interest in Volunteering with the Fire Service are encouraged to join Roslyn Fire Company's Explorer Program.
An Explorer will learn about the Apparatus and it's Equipment, as well as attend Trainings and participate in other Fire Company functions. Explorers cannot attend the Firefighter I Course until they are 16 years of age. Being an Explorer does, however, include those that are interested in the fire service and exposes them to a wide array of training and experience.

Weekly Training
The Members of Roslyn Fire Company meet every Wednesday Night to learn and reinforce the skills needed to effectively and efficiently operate as Firefighters.
From practicing "throwing" Ladders to Vehicle Fires to Search & Rescue, each night focuses on a different Firefighter Skill. Past Training Nights have included a visit from Abington Township's Hazerdous Materials Unit and the Mid-Atlantic Med-Evac Helicopter. Roslyn Fire Company is also fortunate to have the use of the Township's recently renovated Training Grounds including a 5-story Structural Burn Tower.
