Special Service 500 is a 1997 Ford F-350 Detroit Diesel Pick-up with a four-door full sized cab. SS 500 runs a multitude of service assignment calls ranging from pumping flooded basements to shuttling tools and equipment to fires and other emergencies. Abington Township Residents may also know this truck as the truck that pulls Santa Claus around Roslyn the weekend before Christmas.

Roslyn Fire Company uses Special Service 500 as the workhorse that backs the various apparatus that may already be in service.
