Squad 500 is a 2005 Pierce Contender 5-man cab. It was purchased in 2006 to replace former Squad 500, a 3D Spartan twin of former Engine 500. It has a 1250 Gallon Per Minute pump manufactured by Hale.

Roslyn Fire Company uses Squad 500 as a first out piece for vehicle rescues, residential rescues, and outdoor electrical incidents. The Squad is equipped with light rescue tools including hyrdaulic spreaders, cutters, airbags and a multitude of stabilizers. Its tank holds 1000 gallons of water and carries 1 3/4" and 5" large diameter hose as well as extra lengths of forestry line for field fires.
