The Roslyn Fire Company was dispatched
to call number 119 at approximately
19:10 hours for a fire alarm on the
1800 block of Fitzwatertown Rd.

Chief 500 arrived on location to a single
family dwelling with no residents inside
and all entrances secured.

After sizing up the scene it was realized
that there was a smoke condition inside the
residence with a working basement fire
inside.

The dispatch was automatically upgraded
and crews from Engine 500 forced entry
and began their attack on the fire.

The fire was quickly placed under control
and arriving mutual aid companies assisted
with ventilation and overhaul.
